That is the real question, not the price. The answer is yes, starting the month it shows up.
Financed and in use by December 31? Ask your accountant about a Section 179 write-off.

Mistakes avoided, plus time saved, plus material saved, plus software the shop is not paying for separately. The savings are designed to cover the $499 before it ever feels like a cost.
Accurate to 1 mm (about 1/32 in) within 33 ft (10 m). A missed dimension on a backsplash or a metal stair is hundreds to thousands of dollars. Shops using the iCS50 report over $200 a month saved on mistakes that never happen.
With the wireless VPen it is one of the fastest ways to template a job digitally. Skip the wood, save the material and save the hours, on every job.
The DXF imports directly into the software the shop already uses. Nobody sits down and redraws the job by hand.
SPEEDfolder, SPEEDinventory and SPEEDlabel come with the iCS50. On their own they run over $170 a month.
Over $170 a month on their own. With the iCS50 they come in the package.

The complete package is $29,800, or from $499 a month financed over 72 months on approved credit.
In most cases, yes. Section 179 can apply to financed equipment that is in use by December 31. Ask your accountant how it applies to your shop.
The iCS50 robotic head, VPen, handheld remote, Samsung tablet, V-Targets, charging cables, a carbon fiber tripod, a Pelican case for the electronics and a tripod carry bag.

The SPEEDtemplate plan: $150 a month, or $1,800 a year, for iCON trades, SPEEDfolder, SPEEDlabel and SPEEDinventory. The plan includes every software update and every firmware update for the iCS50 head, including new features like trace.
No. The iCS50 levels and checks itself every time it starts up, so there is no yearly service trip. The only yearly cost is the software renewal.
One full year from Leica, parts and labor, through the Leica service center in the US. An extended warranty adds two more years, for three years in total.
The VPen has no electronics inside, and the ball is aluminum. Scratches and small dings do not affect it, and it floats if it goes overboard. Replacement parts ship from the Leica warehouse in Georgia.
The iCON trades license is tied to the iCS50, not the tablet. SPEEDtemplate support moves the license to a replacement Samsung tablet. The tablet is not locked, so the shop can add its own apps.
Up to 33 ft (10 m) at 1 mm (about 1/32 in). A one-time range upgrade extends the VPen to about 82 ft (25 m) at about 1/16 in. The laser reaches what the VPen cannot.
A 2D DXF, a 3D DXF, a PDF and a CSV. The DXF opens in the CAD or CNC software the shop already uses. Photos from the tablet and the iCS50 camera stay with the job.
About three weeks when Leica has stock. SPEEDtemplate pairs the tablet, installs the software and tests the full system before it ships, so the system works out of the case.
